About Project Generation D:

Project Generation D (PGD) is an after-school creative digital arts academy for pre-teens and teens providing a positive environment for a high-quality digital arts education while encouraging individuality and teamwork. The company’s website and blog at www.ProjectGenerationD.com features news, program updates, and photos and video from various sessions.

The PGD Hip-Hop Production course teaches the basics including drum programming, loop-based production, writing song lyrics and more, using Garage Band and Ableton Live digital audio workstations. Classrooms of 12-16 teens also enjoy guest appearances by local musicians, production studio tours, and complete the course by creating individual and group projects.

“Creating Project Generation D has really been a culmination of my years of experience as a music producer and artist [as moniker Nobody Famous], as well as my background in childcare, education, business, and various forms of digital arts,” said founder Reggie Perry Jr. who develops and teaches the coursework. “I’ve been working on this program for years, so it is very exciting to see it coming to life now.”

In Other News:

PGD is locking in their summer camp programming at several local facilities. As the organization expands, additional courses will be offered, and the PGD instruction staff will increase. Long-term projections include PGD facilities and a global classroom.
